Day 6: Texas Last Diet

Today was even easier than yesterday.  I was quite busy today, and again, I didn't have time to eat all my food at lunchtime.  I had a chocolate pancake for breakfast.... and I still can't believe that I can have a chocolate pancake on a diet.  At lunch I was pressed for time, so I had the leak soup, and nothing else.  I got crazy hungry around 3:30 and grabbed the only thing I thought I might be able to eat, and had a fist full of nuts.  I hope that doesn't mess anything up.  I'll be sure to confess that in my journal so that we can discuss it at my weigh-in tomorrow.

Dinner was at the office, and all I had was meat and salad.  I browned up some ground turkey, and added some tomato sauce.  The sauce seemed fine, and didn't have any added sugar or fructose.  I put about a cup of tomato sauce over the meat, added onion and garlic powder, Italian herbs, and salt and pepper.  It was really tasty, and I am hoping that the tomato sauce will be able to count as one of my vegetable servings.  That still meant that I needed to eat two vegetable portions at my evening snack time.

It's hard to fathom that I've been on this diet for a week tomorrow.  I've not looked at the scale, but am certain that I've lost something this week.  I will have to go in and review my progress, and pick another week's worth of Ideal Protein packets.  I'm excited, but a little bit nervous.  I'm certainly committed to losing the weight necessary, and following the program, but I feel a bit sketchy about having made a couple of alterations to the plan this week.  I almost feel that I'm not sufficiently educated in the process yet to be making judgement calls.  My only thought now is that I will need to internalize this diet plan sooner or later, so I'm hoping I've not done things to work against my progress.

I'll keep you informed of course... and the jeans do feel a bit easier to close in the past couple of days.
