Day 5: Texas Last Diet
Oh my God, what a difference a day makes. I woke up this morning and felt fine. No headache, no foggy head, no insane cravings. It's all gone. I ate my food today, and was hungry when it was time to eat, but never once felt bummed out, or frantic about food. I can't believe what a difference. And I can't believe I really felt that badly.
So it was a pretty darn good day. I was running around a lot, and so took water with me, but I was out at lunchtime and just brought my little Ideal Protein bag of nuts and seeds. It was really tasty, and perfect while on the road. Unfortunately, I didn't have any veggies with me at the time. Looks like I'll need to start carrying at least some free veggies around in a baggie. Since I didn't have anything with me, I added two extra vegetables with dinner.
Dinner was great, by the way. I got home late, and so didn't want to take time to cook a lot, so I took ground turkey and browned it up, adding mushrooms, asparagus, parsley, bell pepper, and zucchini. I put in salt, pepper, some chili powder, garlic and onion powder and a bit of soy sauce to keep it all from drying out. It was really, really good.
Anyway, I was thrilled to receive a message from Vikki today, and a text from the office. Those folks at Texas Last Diet really are taking good care of me.
I can't believe how this whole thing, and my whole outlook, seems to have changed in 24 hours.
