Day 8: Texas Last Diet
Back to the diet grind today. I can't let my win at yesterday's weigh in give me too much pride, because I've still got a long, long way to go.
It was a busy day, and we were out shooting almost all day. I had an omelet for breakfast, and soup and salad for lunch. Dinner was quite nice. I had a broiled steak, with steamed broccoli and zucchini, and a salad. Then for my evening snack, I had the nacho chips... and they're soooo good. I feel like I'm cheating, but I know I'm not, because my breath is terrible! It smells like something died in my mouth. I think that's a pretty clear sign that I'm still in ketosis, and if I'm in ketosis, I'm losing weight.
I also felt really quite tired today. I wonder if that's diet related too? If it continues tomorrow, I'l give Vikki a call. I just want to make sure nothing is going wrong.
Anyway, great day... and looking forward to my next weigh in. I know it won't be as impressive as this week, but I'm still hoping for maybe 4 more pounds. At least I'll be in the double digits, and in no time at all, I'll be getting rid of fat pants, and tent shirts. I might go back to enjoying clothing. I used to LOVE to dress, and look good, but for the past 20 years or so, I just haven't really cared. Nothing looked good on me, so I just stopped trying. It's funny, but part of me thinks that he weight loss and health gains from this diet won't be anything compared to the changes I'll see in self-esteem and happiness.
Thank you Texas Last Diet. I know you guys hear this all the time, but I think you may well be saving my life.
