Day 7: Texas Last Diet
Today is the end of my first week on the diet. It was a tough start for me, because I needed to detox from so much crap I had in my system. But honestly, since day 5, I have felt really good. I don't feel bloated, nothing hurts, and there are these little things I notice. For example, when I go down the stairs now, I just walk down like a normal person. Before, I was taking them one step at a time, and sideways, because I kept having the sensation that my knees were going to give out. Then, this morning, I bent over to rub the cat's tummy, and I realized I had bent over to the ground without making a noise. My pants are definitely easier to button... this is working.
So I weighed in today, and I've lost 9 pounds in my first week. I thought that sounded like a lot, and apparently it's pretty good. My coach, Vikki LeBeau was thrilled, and measured me as well. I've lost about two inches off my belly, and about an inch off my chest. I can't tell you how motivating that was. I know the first week is largely water weight, but the inches lost aren't water. So it's definitely showing up.
I picked up my new food, and got some further good advice from Vikki about some of the questions I had, and some of the decisions I made over the first week. All in all, it was an excellent day.
