Day 18: Texas Last Diet

Another good day today.  I started the day with a chocolate shake, which was wonderful.  I am allergic to milk, so I was a little worried, but I didn't have any adverse reaction to the drink.  I did feel it however, so I'm going to mention to Vikki that I want to stay away from those milk based drinks, even though they're amazingly easy to prepare, and they taste great.  Things like the Cappuccino drink, the berry shake, the yogurt drink, and the chocolate shake are going off my list, even if I'm a little bit sad to see them go.

For lunch I was on the run again, so I had a trail mix in the car around noon, and a salad when I got back to the office around 3pm.  I didn't have my "good" vegetables until dinner.  I know it's not great to have all the veggies together at the end of the day, but I thought it was wiser to have them all at once, rather than drop some of the calories.  Ideally I should be eating all through the day, and on a fairly regular pattern.  That keeps energy levels constant, and undoubtedly cravings would decrease.  I say that because, though I'm not miserable or anything, I really do get hungry in the middle of the afternoon, and pretty dozy around then too.

Dinner was great, and pretty huge.  I cubed some chicken tenders, and browned them up in a teaspoon of olive oil.  I tossed in some mushrooms, squash, and bell pepper, and added a bit of tomato sauce for moisture.  Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion flakes, and Italian herbs... and when the veggies had softened a bit, it was ready... another one pan wonder.

All in all, a pretty good day.  I had my Southwest Curls for my evening snack, and now I'm off to bed.
